Online leaflet designA logo may be relatively small but it can represent a very big part of your marketing. In view of this, you’d be well advised to ask a professional designer to help. An effective logo can say more about your business than you may realize; even small businesses on a tight budget should look to a professional and rebrand if necessary.

Put it this way, it is most often the first chance you have to create an impression and one that lasts. Believe it or not an effective logo can convey quite a large bulk of information about your business, and allow your brain to process this as information to remember. Take a look around you and spot the logos that work for you and you’ll see what I mean.

Colour

Possibly the first thing to think about and where so many go wrong is in the colour. Making a big splash rarely equates with a big splash of colour; more subdued tones will communicate dependability and a relaxed, but quality, approach to the service offered.

Design

Aim to create stability and trust; it’s not simply about being artistic; a logo must offer visual appeal whilst retaining a basic, subtle effect. This also gives a feeling of respect; you’re not aiming to be showy and dramatic.

Adaptability

Your logo design should also be adaptable enough to use in all your marketing materials such as online, in newsletters, e-mails, brochures, a5leaflets or flyer templates, billboards or shop signs.

Information

Tell your customers as much about yourself as you can with your logo because that is exactly what they want to know. To do this effectively give your logo some sort of relevance to the purpose of your product or service.

Brand

Help customers identify your brand by making your logo unique and memorable; in this way you automatically set yourself apart from your rivals, without saying a single word. It’s worth sending out a clear message because competition in most industries is fierce.

Reflection

Your logo really is the flavour of your business, portraying the very essence of what you do and how well you do it; it’s a reflection of your corporate image and identity, setting you and your standards apart from others.

Goals

Your logo can illustrate your goals and objectives, the fabric, nuts and bolts of your business. In so doing it reinforces that distinct image you have nurtured; potential customers and existing clients can easily distinguish your products from a competitor.

A logo is such an amazing marketing tool…and so often neglected and its power lost. Whether in a printed leaflet, flyer or brochure, help it to work for you.
