Printed leaflets, like brochures, can make surprisingly effective communication tools. Even in this digital age, it’s surprising how many large businesses still use them to good effect in their marketing plan. Leaflets, especially a5 leaflets that get delivered through letterboxes, really can be a great way of attracting attention, providing information or promoting a product or service. The good thing about leaflet distribution of printed flyers or leaflets is that they target a large audience, whilst motivating them to take action.

Having said that, you still need to focus on a specific audience so do a bit of research beforehand as to where you think the majority of your customers will live.

You can use your printed leaflet to remind existing customers about your service, attract new customers and let past customers know you still exist. Think about this for your leaflet design because the words and images you use should reinforce the objective you want to achieve.

Although leaflets tend to have a shorter shelf life than some other marketing materials, they still require time and thought for planning, designing and printing.

The main thing about a5leafllets is that they should get people excited about your products or services; people usually need motivation to buy something and they may need to be influenced before they act.

You may not always want to consider direct mail door to door leaflet distribution with your printed leaflets. You could offer them as hand outs at a shopping centre, presentation or business show, include in a folder for delegates at a conference or offer to customers after an initial meeting.

Therefore you can see the multi-purpose uses of a printed leaflet and begin to see how cost effective they are. Be careful, though, to consider design in terms of the primary and secondary purpose. Also, give precise information as to what you would like your customers to do such as visit the website, enter a prize draw or sign up for a free gift. It’s surprising the number of people who forget this, merely putting their contact details down without proper instruction.
